Make Your ‘Piles’ Work for You

medium_3172462074If stacking papers into piles—rather than filing them in folders—is your style, work with it. Find a way to organize the piles, such as by using color-coded and labeled clips.

Create a “hot” pile for the items you will tackle today. But never start a pile labeled “miscellaneous,” organizing experts advise, because that will become a dumping ground.
