Create a Kid-Friendly Space at the Office

medium_2349418797Welcome employees’ children into your office without totally disrupting work: Designate a kid-friendly spot. If new parents are introducing a baby to office mates, let them hold court in the conference room, an office or the lunch area. Admirers can ooh and aah without disturbing hard-at-work colleagues.

The same strategy  works for toddlers who occasionally visit, keeping children out of reach of computers and other precious possessions.

If you want to allow workers to bring their children to the office on  occasional sick days or at times when schools are closed, set aside a space where they can do homework or quietly play with toys.
