Words of wisdom: Is busy good?

ants

“It’s not enough to be busy; so are the ants. The question is, what are we busy about?”

-Henry David Thoreau

Are you spending your time and energy on work that matters?

Take a look at your to-do list. Highlight only those tasks that directly relate to your goals. For those tasks that don’t align with your most important objectives, do one of two things: If the tasks are worthy assignments, delegate them to employees’ to increase their knowledge and skills. If you find that the tasks aren’t worth doing, trash them. You can’t waste your time on pointless tasks, but you can’t dump meaningless assignments on employees either.

What’s one thing you can take off your to-do list now?
